Privacy Policy

Jemma for macOS · Effective 8 November 2026

Jemma collects no data. It has no account, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. Your notes never leave your Mac.

Your notes

Input Monitoring

To notice a double ⌘C, Jemma asks for macOS's Input Monitoring permission. It uses a listen-only event tap that checks each key press for ⌘C and nothing else. It never records, stores or sends what you type, and it can't block or change key presses. You can turn the permission off at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Input Monitoring.

Purchases

The free trial and the one-time purchase go through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment and your Apple Account under Apple's Privacy Policy. Jemma only learns whether the trial or the purchase is active, and when the trial started. This is the only time Jemma connects to the internet, and it does so through Apple.

This website

This website has no cookies or analytics. It is hosted by Vercel and loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so both receive your IP address and browser details when you visit, under their own privacy policies.

Children

Jemma collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
